Louis Vuitton Island, Singapore
Designed by architect Moshe Safdie, this glass-and-steel pavilion on the edge of the Marina Bay Sands resort has been transformed into a Louis Vuitton Island 'maison'.  Located in Singapore, Maison boasts both his and hers collections, jewelery and a truly unique bookstore. This marks the 12th Maison in the world, and the first in Southeast Asia.
Surfing in Munich's Man-Made River, "The Bach"

Up to 100 surfers daily hit the waves on a man-made river in the city's English Garden. In the Eisbach (German for "ice brook"), a manmade wave has been created on one section.There, the icy water flows at a rate of 20 tons per second, and the temperature never gets above 15 degrees Celsius.

Villa Crespi, in Piedmont's Lake Orta, is blessed with lake views, botanical gardens, Michelin-starred restaurants, and 19th-century interiors inspired by ornate Baghdad palaces.

The Cube Restaurant
This year, Park Associati's Cube Restaurant it has moved south to Italy, where architects reconstructed the restaurant besides the Piazza del Duomo, offering easily the best views in the city. Last year it was atop the arc of the Parc du Cinquantenaire in Brussels.

The project, coordinated by Electrolux, features four top Italian chefs, each of which have created a menu to serve lunch and dinner in the 140-square-meter space. Split into a dining area and a separate terrace, the main table disappears into the ceiling to make room for a less formal area. The kitchen is on display for everyone who eats there.

The restaurant is available for reservations up until April 26th this year. After that it will be taken apart and bused to its next destination in London before continuing on to Stockholm.
Heavy Snow in Europe, Hits Italy's Colosseum

Heavy snow in recent weeks has already wreaked havoc across Europe -- now it is damaging some of the continent's most recognized historic monuments.

The Colosseum in Rome has been forced to shut after small pieces of its walls crumbled away as a result of freezing temperatures.

The Alpine Pod
LEAP, or the Living Ecological Alpine Pod, is a mobile bivouac, which can be placed almost anywhere. The pod is built in a factory and then carried by helicopter up to its location where it can be securely fastened by a team of engineers. Inside, there’s a living/dining room, room for six, solar panels to keep everything going, and, oh, panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.

2012 Light Festival - Ghent, Belgium

During  the 2012,Ghent Light Festival Ghent,  Belfortstraat (Belfort Street) will be the  domain of the Luminarie Cagna. More than half-a-million people were drawn to the Luminaire De Cagna LED-light display at the festival. Luminaire De Cagna became the main attraction of the Festival that included more than 30 other displays and exhibitions. Just like fireworks, originally used in celebrations to reach up to and greet the spirits in the sky, this LED-light cathedral aimed VERY VERY high! via cool hunter.
