With the month of August quickly approaching, there’s so many exciting and luxurious events needed to be experienced this before the first leaf falls. So, we’ve curated a list of the top hottest August event, domestically and internationally, that awaits you.

Mostly Mozart Music Festival, New York

Hosted at the world renowned Lincoln Center, this is an amazing classical music experience taking over the month of August; there’s plenty of opportunity to enjoy these performers. The orchestra is lead by Renée and Robert Belfer, Louis Langrée, and international guest conductors.

August 1-29

Lollapalooza, Chicago

Looking for a more up-to-date music? This Grant Park event will host acts by Chance the Rapper, Lorde, Blink 182, Justice, and many other renowned pop artists. The most recent Lollapalooza took place in Paris this July; so, if you missed the Paris festival, you should definitely get a chance to experience the one here in the States.

August 3-6

London Craft Beer Festival, London

Whether you are a beer connoisseur or just now understanding your favorite brands, this event is great for great friends, cool music, and quality beer. Located at the unique, Shoreditch Electric Light Station in Hoxton Square, the brewers include Brooklyn Brewery, Dry Bitter, Stone & Wood, and Thornbridge Brewery.

August 4-6

Paddle and Party for Pink, The Hamptons

This World Paddle Association event is not only an active way to spend one of the last weeks of summer, but it greatly benefits the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. 91 cents to every dollar is spent on research and awareness. This annual event has raised $850,000, and this years goal is $250,000. So, whether you’re a paddle racing pro or a new-be, this should be a fun event for an amazing cause.

August 5

Hong Kong Dragon Boat Festival, New York

The 27th annual festival is a unique cultural experience that the entire family can enjoy. The opening day parade will be Saturday, and the US Dragon Boat Open Championship Race will take place that Sunday. Mayor De Blasio as well as NYC government agencies, NYPD, NYFD, DEP and Parks Department plan to be in attendance.

August 12-13

Palio di Siena, Siena

Dating back to the medieval era,  This historic event will host its second part in Siena, Italy (hosting the first part July 2nd). It features horses and horseback riders sporting the traditional colors, with represent the seventeen city wards. This event is meant to honor the Assumption of Mary.

Summer Sonic, Tokyo

Celebrating it 17th year, The Summer Sonic lineup includes Charlie XCX, Calvin Harris, Foo Fighters, and the Black Eyed Peas as well as artist from around the world. The day before the event hosts Sonicmania, which an all day and night dance party.

August 19-20

Jazz Age Lawn Party, Governors Island

Throw on your fabulous fringe dress, t-strap heels, and sparkling headband for a step in time. This event features jazz and swing tribute bands such as Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra, Queen Esther, and The Dreamland Follies. It also hosts tons of activities like vintage art & clothing vendors and dance classes to learn the hottest steps of the era.

August 26-27

MTV Video Music Awards, Inglewood

Hosted by “Swish Swish” singer, Katy Perry, the 32nd annual VMA’s features nominations of  Bruno Mars, Ariana Granda, Lorde, and the most nominated, Kendrick Lamar. For the second time, the event will be held at The Forum venue in Inglewood, California.

August 27

US Open Tennis Tournament, New York

Hosted at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center, New York’s most attended sporting event, this is the perfect end-of-summer outing. The world wide attendees have included Oprah, Jimmy Fallon, and Alec Baldwin, so this is a world-renowned event that you do not want to miss.
