Robert De Niro’s Tribeca Grill-Ain’t Too Shabby!

Add this to your list for New York’s Restaurant Week

Coming up the cobble stone road on Franklin Street perfectly tucked onto the corner meeting Greenwich Street is the can’t-miss restaurant, Tribeca Grill.

From the exterior, the restaurant appears small, and though attractive initially looks like not much to write home about. With a few tables set up for outdoor dining adjacent to the restaurant’s front door the atmosphere is cozy, and inviting. Not to mention, the perfect A rating displayed on the window adds to the appeal.

When you walk in you are greeted by a subtle grandeur. The exposed brick adds to the restaurant’s charm, while the chandeliers, art work, and rich mahogany add just the necessary touch of luxe.

Tables are comfortable, and thankfully not set so close on top of each other as is sometimes the New York way. Once settled in looking over the menu is surely the best part, next to eating. A wide array of options meet the eye, and making a decision is – as is often the case – never easy.

Settling on the crab cake as an appetizer is without a doubt a perfect place to start. The creamy avocado sauce against the crab cake’s crisped crust is a welcome treat. Honestly, this is filling enough to not even need an entree, but go big or go home. Any choice is a good choice here at Tribeca Grill.

Shuffling off to the bathroom upstairs to freshen up after dinner, you’ll find private event rooms that you can’t help but poke your head in (if they’re unoccupied, at least). You’ll find yourself daydreaming of having your next party here, should you be lucky enough to win the lottery and afford to rent the space.

After dinner cocktails are a must at Tribeca Grill’s grand bar. Perfectly centered in the middle of the restaurant it’s a great space to relax after a fantastic meal and do a little people watching.

Should you be fortunate enough to remember, Tribeca Grill participates in New York’s restaurant week and is a worth while stop for a perfect tasting of the menu.
