To be in a room surrounded by the most influential, inspiring, and empowering women in the entertainment industry is a once in a lifetime experience, and something I’d only dreamed of. Thanks to my incredible friends at PANDORA, who were also a sponsor of the event, my dream became a reality.

As the day approached I grew with excitement, this was going to be my first award show after all, so I could only imagine what it might be like. Dressed head to toe in the coolest Tadashi Shoji matching set and clad with accessories from Steve Madden and Zac Posen, I was ready. As I approached the venue, Pier 36 in Manhattan, New York, I was greeted by two huge purple doors and a sign that read- Billboard Women in Music 2016. Upon entering my first stop was, of course, the PANDORA lounge. There I was able to try on some of the newest PANDORA pieces that I added to my mental wish list. From there, show time was steadily approaching so I made my way to our table only to be surrounded by stars such as Andra Day, Rita Ora, and Idina Menzel at neighboring tables. And across the room, I was able to brush shoulders with the one and only Nick Jonas who was there to present the “Icon Award” to a very deserving woman- teenage dreams fulfilled!

As the lights dimmed and the show began, I was able to witness history in the making. Women such as Kesha, Madonna, and Bozoma Saint John delivering their words of wisdom and encouragement to women all of the country. But don’t just take my word for it, tune in tonight at 9pm on Lifetime to see it all for yourself!
