From the U.S Open to a Jazz Lawn Party and everything in between, June is filled with fun and exciting events and we want to make sure you have the time of your life in the first month of Summer. Don’t forget to step out of your comfort zone and take Dad to the best brunch he could ever ask for on the Beer Brunch Cruise hosted by hornblower and have a great Summer kickoff.

June 3rd- Jersey City, NJ

Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic

The 10th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic returns to Liberty State Park and is celebrated with Neil Patrick Harris who will be hosting the event, as well as Alicia Keys who will sing the National Anthem. The day will be filled with exciting polo matches, picnicking, and of course Veuve Clicquot champagne.

 

June 3rd- Nashville, Tennessee

Swan Ball

A premier charity known for hosting an event that is visited by prominent Tennesseans and their guests. The ball is a nonprofit for the appreciation of arts and botanics.

Smorgasburg- Every Saturday and Sunday

We know there’s a foodie in all of us and we are looking forward to Smorgasburg this year. With locations in both Williamsburg waterfront on Saturdays and Prospect Park on Sundays. The event is home to over 100 local vendors and attracts 20,000 to 30,000 of visitors to Brooklyn each week. If you’re salivating at just the thought, make sure you visit this Spring and bring your appetite.

The Gordon Parks Foundation Gala

The Gordon Parks Foundation will host its 11th annual Awards dinner for those who make an impact for the performing and visual arts and humanitarianism. Guest presenters include Stephen Colbert and singer Usher Raymond IV as well as performances by Grammy Award recording artist, Common. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Buckley Hall Events at 914-579-1000.

 

June 7th- New York, NY

Central Park Conservancy Taste of Summer

Aimed at restoring and maintaining Central Park, the Taste of Summer benefit is host to over 800 guests and includes culinary tastings by New York’s finest restaurants, a live DJ, and a silent auction.

 

June 7th- Nashville, Tennessee

CMT Music Awards

Watch the best of country music’s entertainers perform in Nashville this Wednesday. The CMT Music Awards will honor the late Gregg Allman with tribute performances by Jason Aldean, Darius Rucker and Lady Antebellum.

 

June 11th- New York, NY

Tony Awards

The 71st annual Tony Awards will host a number of screen favorites as well as those set to present the awards include Orlando Bloom, Tina Fey, Anna Kendrick, and Stephen Colbert.

Jazz Age Lawn Party

Located on Governor’s Island in NYC, attendees are suggested to wear 1920’s attire to this age-old soiree. The Jazz Age Lawn Party boasts period cocktails and live jazz music and takes place over two weekends during the summer. Take a step back in time and dress to the nine’s for this vintage event.

June 11th & 12th- New York, NY

Forbes Women’s Summit

This event will feature a wide range of programming that will revolve around the 5 pillars including leadership, entrepreneurship, health, education, and philanthropy. The Women’s Summit will include one-on-one interviews, panel discussions, and keynote conversations. June 12th-18th- Erin Hills, Wisconsin

U.S Open

The 117th U.S Open will be hosted in the heart of Wisconsin this year where the Erin Hills course takes pride in its naturally shaped land, which boasts a course rating of 77.9 and a slope of 145. This year the U.S Open will be more challenging as players will need to defy the many sand traps, nicknames “erosion bunkers” some with narrow passages just a foot across. The challenging course will no doubt make for an interesting game.

Father’s Day Beer Brunch Cruise

Treat Dad to the utmost relaxing yacht brunch on the Hudson River. It includes a buffet, a live jazz band and unlimited beer. The dress is casual attire but we recommend you bring a light jacket in case it gets a little breezy on this luxurious yacht.

International Day of Yoga:

Celebrate the Summer Solstice with free yoga classes all day long at the heart of NYC where cultures converge and yogis break out. This year, NY participates in the celebration in Times Square, those interested in participating can register at Times Square’s event website.

Ballet Weekend at GSTAAD Palace

Created exclusively for the GSTAAD Palace, I’m Your Man musical ballet plays on the contrast of contemporary and classical ballet. Inspired by the music of Leonard Cohen, this event is sure to inspire and captivate the audience.

Gay Pride Parade

This parade commemorates the birth of the gay rights movement and will be televised for the first time ever this year. The march begins at noon, rain or shine and will start on 36th street and fifth avenue and end at Christopher and Bleeker streets. The parade will end at about 6 p.m.

 

June 26th- Los Angeles

BET Awards
