We downloaded and tested the top rated beauty and style apps for your viewing pleasure so that you can figure out the right one for you.

What got us first thinking about this topic was Kim Kardashian’s App, before Kim appeared on the cover of Forbes this month. We had to find out what the rave was about and weather this app was actually worth it. Everyone has their own opinion about Kim Kardashian West, but one thing we can all agree on is her ability to use her popularity to gain a following for her beauty app.
She really did a great job not only aseptically but functionally. One of the many great features on her app are her makeup and hair tutorials. Not only does she provide videos of each process but she also provides the products in each post.
The only thing we would change is the price of $2.99 a month, because eventually all of the content ends up online anyway. But don’t stress, because this app is free to download and even has some content already available for free as well.
The mother of all photoshop apps. This app makes it incredibly easy to perfect any imperfections. In ‘Faded’ you can whiten your smile, smooth skin, fix frizzy hair, redefine cheek bones, apply makeup, and so much more! This app cost $3.99, but what is creates are priceless photos that are Insta ready.
This is the free version of FaceTune, and that is exactly what it is. Be forewarned though if you go overboard with the photoshopping it is very east for everyone to tell. Just remember less is more, you will have a much bigger impact if you use less photoshopping on your picture.
What is a cool feature about this app are the pre-set makeup palettes, incase you have trouble selecting what makeup you want, they already did for you! There is also a section that lets you try on different hairstyles, so if you ever wondered what you would look like with that certain color or cut you can try it out easily!
This app can take a regular picture and instantly transform it to blog worthy status with their unique filters. Now this app comes with a handful of free filters but if that doesn’t cut it for you, you can make in-app purchases on filters that you like best.
If you haven’t heard of Polyvore you must download this asap. Polyvore is designed to bring out your inner style goddess. You create your own closet of items you love and lust after, which you can later use to create outfits. What is also cool about this app is once you like an item, Polyvore will send you updates for when that item goes on sale.
Have you ever wanted see what you would look like with Halle Berry’s short hair? Or Jennifer Anniston’s perfect highlights? Well with InStyle Hairstyle Try-On has made that fantasy come true! With an array of stars to choose from, you can now see what you would look like in just about any hairstyle. Maybe even love it so much you’ll getting it next time you visit your hairstylist!
Now this app is exactly what it’s called: Makeup Genius. Within this app you can try on any L’Oreal products before you buy it!
