This summer, the house of Valentino reopens the doors to L’Atelier Sonore, the Maison’s intimate sonic salon on Madison Avenue. Conceived in collaboration with Terraforma, the Italian cultural collective founded by Ruggero Pietromarchi, the second chapter of this sensory experience unfolds on July 31st, with an exclusive live performance by the legendary Suzanne Ciani.

First unveiled in May, L’Atelier Sonore transforms the mezzanine level of the Valentino Madison Avenue boutique into an immersive sanctuary for deep listening and contemplation. Designed as a seamless conversation between architecture, sound, and emotion, the bespoke environment features a custom sound system created by Giorgio Di Salvo and an architectural concept by Francesco Lupia, all under the visionary direction of Creative Director Alessandro Michele.

For one day only, Suzanne Ciani—a five-time Grammy-nominated electronic music pioneer—will perform two sessions, at 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM, drawing guests into her pioneering world of modular synthesis and sonic storytelling.

Beyond its physical form, L’Atelier Sonore is a philosophical space: a refuge from the city’s pulse, where the language of sound becomes a medium for connection. Terraforma’s curatorial approach bridges ecology, art, and experimental music, offering a subtle yet profound dialogue with the contemporary world.

With this project, Maison Valentino reaffirms its commitment to creating cultural experiences that transcend fashion, weaving together disciplines in a tapestry of emotion, vision, and modern artistry. Further activations are scheduled for September 2025.
