YSL TOUCHE ÉCLAT, $42 yslbeautyus.com

Touche Eclat is a highlighting and illuminating pen that will brighten your complexion With a few strategic clicks it will create a luminous and lifted look to your face.  It is nine hours of sleep, and a week in St. Bart’s in a gold pen.  There are a few very special beauty products that have earned a place in the big beauty history books, and are truly iconic and unforgettable.  Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat Radiant Touch is one those products.

Proudly part of that special crew that includes Nars Orgasm Blush and Clinique’s Black Honey lipstick, YSL’s Touche Eclat is beloved by makeup artists, beauty experts, and every woman I have ever met.  When this product comes up in casual conversation I always hear it referred to as, “The best concealer ever!”   What if I told you, in this moment,  that Touche Eclat is not a concealer.  Yes, you read correctly.  It is not a concealer, and it is not designed to provide coverage or even out the completion.  It is not an eyeshadow base either.

After you have applied your foundation and concealer, it’s time to highlight the face.

In order to get the best effect, apply the product down the bridge of the nose, on the inner corner of the eye, on the browbone, on the top of the cheekbones, the center of the forehead,  and around the mouth if you are concerned with nasolabial lines.  When you apply a highlighting product to a specific area, literally a touch of light, it brings that area forward and up like an instant face lift.   As a makeup artist, my favorite way to use it is around the lip-line to a give a fuller, more defined look. This trick is especially helpful when wearing classic reds or matte lip colors.

You can apply the product directly from the pen, and I recommend blending it in with a synthetic concealer brush. After Touche Eclat you can apply your forever blush or bronzer to complete your look. It comes in ten shades so everyone can find their perfect shade. You are just one click away from a perfectly highlighted face!

I don’t wear foundation. Will this product still be beneficial to me?
