Bentley Motors is inviting the public to experience the heart of its British luxury heritage with the opening of its Crewe visitor experience. Previously focused largely on Bentley customers, the newly expanded offering gives enthusiasts and curious visitors an opportunity to explore the marque’s history, craftsmanship, and iconic automobiles at its historic headquarters.
The experience begins at CW1 House, Bentley’s showroom and visitor centre, where guests can discover a changing display of modern and heritage models. The space also includes the Bentley Boutique, allowing visitors to explore the brand’s merchandise and lifestyle offerings.
The highlight is a new bookable Historic Lineage Tour. Led by an experienced Bentley host, the approximately 60-minute experience takes visitors into the Lineage exhibition, where a digitally immersive presentation traces Bentley’s story from its foundation in 1919. Guests can then view some of the most significant cars in the company’s Heritage Collection, including rare pre-war automobiles that are seldom displayed publicly.
The exhibition provides a closer look at the craftsmanship and engineering that have shaped Bentley for more than a century. Historic racing memorabilia, including trophies connected to the marque’s motorsport legacy, further connects the cars with the competitive history that helped establish Bentley’s reputation for performance.
The decision to open the experience to a wider audience reflects an important shift in luxury automotive retail. Today, brands increasingly recognize that their heritage can be an experience in itself. Rather than simply displaying vehicles in a showroom, Bentley is inviting visitors to understand the stories, people, materials, and craftsmanship behind them.
The public tours are offered on selected weekdays and require advance booking, with tickets starting at £20 per person. While access to the main factory remains restricted for now, Bentley has indicated that opening more of its Crewe operations will form part of a future phase.
For Bentley, the Crewe experience transforms its headquarters into more than a manufacturing site. It becomes a destination where history and contemporary luxury meet, offering visitors a rare opportunity to step inside the world that has shaped one of Britain’s most celebrated automotive marques.
