Longchamp and designer Jeremy Scott are celebrating two decades of creative collaboration with a new edition of the French Maison’s iconic Le Pliage bag, inspired by the energy and visual character of New York. The 2026 reunion marks a new chapter in a relationship that began in 2006 and has repeatedly transformed Le Pliage into a canvas for pop culture, humor, and travel-inspired design.

The latest creation, Le Pliage “Greetings from New York,” draws inspiration from Manhattan’s skyline and the nostalgic aesthetic of vintage postcards. The design continues the “Greetings from” series that Scott and Longchamp developed through earlier editions celebrating Paris, Hollywood, and Paradise. The new bag brings the same playful approach to New York, combining bold graphic imagery with the unmistakable practicality of Le Pliage.

On the reverse, the design resembles a handwritten postcard that has crossed the Atlantic, complete with the playful message “Wish you were here! Love, Jeremy.” The detail reinforces the collection’s central idea of travel and personal correspondence while reflecting Scott’s characteristically pop-driven visual language.

The collaboration was unveiled during an event at La Maison Unique, Longchamp’s SoHo flagship, bringing together Jeremy Scott, members of the Longchamp family, friends of the Maison, and a select group of guests. The location was also transformed into an exhibition space dedicated to the designers’ creative relationship. From May 28 through June 14, the exhibition presented archival pieces alongside recent creations, tracing how Scott has repeatedly reimagined the Le Pliage silhouette.

The partnership illustrates the continuing evolution of luxury collaborations. Rather than simply placing a designer’s name on an existing product, Longchamp and Scott have developed Le Pliage as a platform for storytelling. The bag’s recognizable shape provides a familiar foundation, while each collaboration introduces a new cultural reference.

For Longchamp, the latest edition also reinforces the Maison’s connection between Parisian heritage and global creativity. For Scott, New York provides another setting for the irreverent, colorful aesthetic that has defined his work.

Two decades after their first collaboration, the relationship demonstrates how an iconic luxury object can remain relevant by continually inviting new interpretations. With “Greetings from New York,” Le Pliage becomes more than a practical travel companion—it becomes a postcard from the city itself, translated into fashion.
