Louis Vuitton is bringing its celebrated Art of Travel philosophy into the automotive world through an unprecedented collaboration with California-based Singer Vehicle Design. The partnership has produced two highly personalized Porsche 911s, combining Louis Vuitton’s expertise in leatherwork, luggage, fashion, and watchmaking with Singer’s approach to automotive craftsmanship.
The first vehicle is a Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic, finished in a striking combination of Louis Vuitton’s signature saffron, cobalt blue, and yellow. The second is a Classic Turbo cabriolet conceived by Louis Vuitton Artistic Director of Women’s Collections Nicolas Ghesquière. Finished in Calcaire Lutétien white, the open-top car incorporates precious-wood details inspired by classic motorboats.
At the center of the project is a detachable mechanical dashboard clock inspired by Louis Vuitton’s Tambour watch. What began as a request for a single timepiece evolved into a complete reimagining of the cars’ interiors. The speedometer, rev counter, gauges, and other controls were redesigned using visual elements drawn from the Tambour collection, while metal components received finishes inspired by traditional watchmaking techniques.
The Classic model takes the idea of travel particularly seriously. Its roof rack can carry a trunk, surfboard, or skis, while bespoke Louis Vuitton luggage has been designed specifically to fit the vehicle. The interior features natural leather, yellow stitching, Monogram Flower details, and diamond-patterned embossing inspired by the malletage lining of Louis Vuitton trunks.
The collaboration also extends into fashion and accessories. Owners can complement their vehicles with bespoke clothing, driving gloves, helmets, footwear, watches, and luggage, creating an entire lifestyle around the automobiles rather than simply a pair of cars.
The project marks the first time Louis Vuitton has created a co-branded automotive object with another company, while Singer describes the partnership as an equally unprecedented collaboration. Together, the two companies have transformed the automobile into an expression of craftsmanship, travel, and personal style—demonstrating how modern luxury increasingly exists where fashion, design, engineering, and lifestyle intersect.
