A Mediterranean Journey of Art, Heritage, and Regeneration Across Miami

During Art Basel Week, when Miami becomes a crossroads of global culture, D’Puglia returns with Go Where The Wind Takes You—a poetic, multidisciplinary journey that carries the spirit of Southern Italy across the city’s most coveted cultural settings.

Founded by Gordana Zgonjanin in collaboration with DSCENE Magazine and L’Officiel St. Barth, the program draws inspiration from the wind itself: invisible yet transformative, a force that connects landscapes, histories, and people. Like the Grecale, which travels from east to west across the Mediterranean, the initiative moves fluidly between art, design, ecology, and heritage—bridging continents through shared cultural memory.

A Voyage Through Miami’s Cultural Landscape

The journey begins on November 30 at The Standard Spa, Miami Beach, where lush gardens and ocean air set the tone for an immersive Kick-Off Garden Party. Here, Puglia | UNFRAMED—an artist-led publication featuring a foreword by Gordana Zgonjanin and Helen Mirren for Save The Olives—is unveiled alongside site-specific installations. Highlights include Coco Brun’s olfactory work Terra Aura, Lougè’s Self Preservation, and Marcantonio’s sculptural Natural Connection, presented in collaboration with TABU and Casa Tabu.

On December 1, The Standard hosts an intimate VIP dinner titled Mare, Vento, Terra—a sensorial meditation on movement and place. Guests discover VENTO, an exclusive residency perfume created with Osmo, while celebrating the launch of the Go Where The Wind Takes You nonprofit. The evening signals a deeper commitment to purpose, spanning environmental conservation, youth empowerment, women in leadership, and intentional travel—supported by partners including Art St. Barth, Ocean Gala, Parea Travel, Imperial Moto, and Rubirosa.

The Mediterranean breeze continues on December 2 at AKA Hotel Brickell, where artists and guests gather for an intimate meet-and-greet and book signing. The evening welcomes AKA as a 2026 residency partner and brings together the creative voices shaping the initiative, including Antonio Aricò, Coco Brun, Federica Livia, Lougè, Vuk Ćuk, and DSCENE co-founder Katarina Dorić.

The journey culminates on December 3 at LPM Restaurant & Bar, Miami, where French Riviera elegance meets Mediterranean joie de vivre. The Art of Tomatini, curated by Gordana Zgonjanin and Antonio Aricò, transforms LPM’s iconic cocktail into a collection of collectible design objects—hand-illustrated napkins, sculptural pepper grinders, ceramic plates, and custom playing cards—celebrating the point where gastronomy becomes art.

Throughout the week, VIP guests move effortlessly between venues via Powerboats USA, embodying the philosophy of fluid motion that defines the program—a partnership set to extend into 2026 with Manari Yachts.

The Residency: Responding to Place

At the heart of Go Where The Wind Takes You is an artist residency rooted in Castro, Puglia, where international creatives gathered in May 2025 along the Adriatic coast. Rather than documenting the region, artists were invited to respond emotionally—absorbing its rhythms, light, and layered histories.

The result is a deeply evocative portrait of Mediterranean life, expressed through photography, writing, and installation, and unveiled during Art Basel Miami through curated publications, immersive activations, and collaborations with luxury partners including Flowers Winery (California) and Palazzo Tafuri (Puglia).

A Movement with Purpose

Beyond aesthetics, Go Where The Wind Takes You operates as a platform for regeneration. Through strategic philanthropic partnerships, the initiative supports environmental preservation, cultural exchange, and social impact—from youth programs led by Olympic athlete Nicola Saveljić, to historic maritime preservation projects, global fundraising rallies, and cultural programming aligned with the Mediterranean Games 2026 in Taranto, Puglia.

Anchored by five pillars—Public Installations, Preservation, Philanthropy, Artist Residency, and the Traveling Table—the program creates an ongoing dialogue between tradition and innovation, honoring heritage while shaping the future.
