Monaco Yacht Show Showcases Yachts Worth More Than $4 Billion

written by Global Glam October 2, 2022

The annual Monaco Yacht Show took place last week and despite all the negative macroeconomic news that have recently been released, it was still a huge success. Yachts worth more than $4bn were on display. Demand for maritime luxury is still sky-high. But as usual, it wasn’t just about the yachts. Countless celebrities and socialites came to Monaco, eager to present themselves on a world stage – to see and be seen! In the evening, it was all about the galas and after-parties that took place in some of Monaco’s most extravagant venues.

One of the most sought-after titles is the biggest yacht on display at the Monaco Yacht Show. This year, AHPO by Lurssen took first place. The 115m bespoke superyacht was the largest ever to be displayed at the show. It costs a staggering $2.5 million to rent – per week! The objective to the AHPO was to enable a healthy and family-focused life on board with numerous facilities for sports and activities including the extra-large gym on the sky lounge deck and the spacious wellness area on the lower deck. Built in 2021, it can accommodate up to 16 guests in 8 cabins. Powered by twin MTU engines, the AHPO comfortably cruises at 14 knots, reaches a maximum speed of 20 knots with a range of up to 8,500 nautical miles from its 400,000-liter fuel tanks at 12 knots.

Another one of our favorite yachts was Blush which is sold by Camper & Nicholson’s. It has been showcased at the Monaco Yacht show several times since it was built in 2007. You can currently buy it for $12.5 million. Refitted in 2018 in beautiful metallic and pastel pink hues, Blush’s interior is stylish and offers a multitude of relaxation, dining and accommodation options. The owner and guest quarters have particular appeal, in that each suite can be transformed into a variety of berth configurations.  There’s a VIP double and two twin cabins, both of which can be converted to doubles and also have Pullman bunks.

Our favorite yacht list of the Monaco Yacht Show would not be complete without the Phoenix 2. With her owner-inspired shimmering Art Deco interiors and Manhattan-style glamour, together with Winch Design, Phoenix 2 dazzles inside and out with the promise of legendary entertainment. You can almost see Jay Gatsby and Daisy Buchanan foxtrotting around the gilt-and-black lacquer Steinway in the main deck ballroom. A grand dining table is overlooked by the swinging six-piece jazz band in custom-made gold bas-relief murals as a crystal chandelier dazzles overhead with fine wines from the sommelier room next door.
