Philipp Plein Exhibits the Most Luxurious Show During NYFW

Philipp Plein returned to NYFW for his label’s 20^th anniversary and delivered yet another over-the-top, grandiose fashion show for his Fall/Winter 19 collection. This time, he treated close to 500 lucky attendees in a black-tie, seated multi-course dinner accompanied by two full blown orchestras, and of course an open bar at one of the hottest restaurants in New York City, The Grill.

Plein featured two runway shows for both the Billionaire and his Philipp Plein signature label with of course, a wide variety of celebs, models, and socialites in attendance: from Paris Hilton to Mickey Rourke, to Coco Rocha and even WWII veteran Sidney Walton. When singer Lil Pump performed his hit “I love it”, the restaurant unexpectedly- but not surprisingly- turned into a thriving nightclub.

His elaborate fashion shows features the likes of Irina Shayk and Migos, at opulent venues such as the New York Public Library, Hammerstein Ballroom, and how can we forget last year’s space-themed Brooklyn Navy Yard. This year he had Lil Plump perform with Victoria Secret angels Shanina Shaik, Lais Ribeiro, Kelsey Merritt, and Kelly Gale gracing the diverse runway in a more intimate setting.

The show started off with Plein’s Billionaire label and showcased royal velvet suits and crocodile skin leather jackets, thus presenting the collection in a literal theme: made for billionaires (or for those who want to look like one). Mickey Rourke and his dog closed the first show with German designer Plein.

Following the entrée, viewers got to view the designer’s signature Philipp Plein label. The collection showed Plein’s wide variety of neon-tartan styles and creativity: animal prints, studded leather jackets, “Pleined” fur hoodies, overcoats that make a statement, coupled with army looks.

After the show, the music was turned up and guests experienced another famous Philipp Plein party. He and his model girlfriend Justyna Gradek hit the dancefloor and were joined by the rest of his guests. Champagne bottles were poppin’ and Martini’s were flowin’… it was a night to remember for his guests.
