Here’s some inspiration

A French door entryway? Velvet seating area? Champagne cart? If you dream it, why not do it. I personally have a wall dedicated to my La Perla and Agent Provocateur lingerie displayed beautifully with satin hangers with a rack dedicated to my lacy delicates. You’ll finally get to see all of your designer numbers you worked so hard to attain flawlessly hanging up for your viewing and selecting pleasure. And it makes styling oh so much easier when you can visually see each piece in their light. Sometimes you also need to display your jewelry and accessories properly to 1) help you find them, and 2) remind you that you have them. All it takes is a receptive outlook and some creativity to make a perfect work of art closet you’ll enjoy.

I still remember Carrie Bradshaw’s luxe closet that Mr. Big designed for her in Sex In The City Movie. Now that was beautiful, timeless and classy, and Big enough (pun intended) for someone like Carrie Bradshaw,. Depending on your style, visualize some key items to make your closet more suited to your taste. Get some inspiration from local and luxe boutiques and try to create your closet like a boutique so that everything is displayed easily. Do you like to drape outfits and fill out your cocktail dresses? Get a mannequin form. Add jewelry to them to remind you that you still have this pieces. Incorporate luxe dressing areas by getting some seating for trying on shoes and some silk curtains for decor. A central plush rug with a jewelry case in the middle incorporating glass and mirror features will add some color and help with displaying. Get rid of the wire hangers and invest in some wooden or velvet ones.

Want to make it a little more Glam? Nothing says charm and extravagance like a ceiling chandelier and large wall mirror. I love me a boutique-style walk-in closet. Select some of your incredible dresses and showcase them around the room with the aid of utilizing a few mannequin forms. Dedicate a wall to your shoes by fixing floating shelves or constructing shoe-size cubby holes. Have end tables besides your seating area and have some refreshments on there.

If you can, leave about 3 inches on either side of each garment. Space out your wardrobe, and coordinate either by separates, color, or by outfit-pairing. Try not to stockpile. Get some floating shelves and utilize them. Display your handbags and folded knits. You can have a tie rack that can rapidly transform into a Scarf Rack as well. It really is about your vision and personality, so ultimately you should bring in what strictly appeals to you. Sharing closet space with a significant other? You’re out of luck. Just kidding. Incorporate elements you both enjoy. I’ve even seen closets with 60 inch plasma’s and a bar station. Hey, why not?
