The business of lingerie is becoming quite a broad one. The industry has brought bedroom boudoir to light, or dare we say, the outdoors. Inspired lingerie and pajama style clothing are hitting runways and stores near you as luxury lingerie brands, such as La Perla, are introducing lingerie ‘outerwear’ pieces in their new season’s collections. This reoccurring trend has brought a combination of sexy and classy for daytime and nighttime looks.
Lingerie and pajama style inspired clothing consists of lace, silk, bras, bralettes, camisoles, slips, pajama sets, corsets, and many more. Though majority of designers have participated in this trend, all of them took many different approaches. Dior, in its 2016 spring collection, had presented a lingerie-inspired set for daytime. While on the other hand, Givenchy took the eveningwear approach with lace and transparent slips.
