Valentine’s Day is around the corner. So that you don’t have to worry about not having a great gift for your loved one, below are three wines that will definitely impress your partner. After all, what’s better than enjoying a great wine with some delicious dinner. Take a look below at our choices:

1. 1945 Chateau Mouton Rothschild

This wine is a legend and clearly the most expensive on our list. It is often described as “just perfect” even by wine critics. Located on a hillock called the “Plateau de Mouton”, the Château Mouton Rothschild vineyard is based in the famous Bordeaux region which is known for its deep gravelly soil. It’s bouquet tastes like flavored coffee, cloves and cinnamon. Raspberries, gingerbread, blackcurrants, coffee, chocolate and mint all battle on the palate. You cannot just buy it at any wine store. Sotheby’s has a bottle on auction. It’s estimate? GBP 26,000 – 45,000 but it surely is worth it.

2. 2000 Petrus

In the age of social media influencers, Petrus has rapidly gained popularity as the ultimate lifestyle wine for the wealthy. Unlike some other trends on social media, Petrus has the quality and flavor to back up its hype. It is an extremely full-bodied wine. Expect to taste a mixture of black truffle, intense black cherries, licorice, and mulberry. A bottle will cost you between $8,000 and $10,000

3. 2018 Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia

At a price of around $300 per bottle it is the cheapest on our list but that doesn’t take anything away from its quality. Sassicaia is one of the so-called “Super-Tuscan” wines. It’s debut was celebrated in 1968 and it is named after the stony soil from which it comes from. The palate features black currant, red plum and star anise while tobacco notes linger at the end.
