While thousands of actors, models, socialites and Cannes enthusiasts attended this year’s Cannes Film Festival to experience the magic of the red carpet, German star designer Philipp Plein dominated the event line-up at this year’s Film Festival, hosting 3 marquee events within four days.
In a dazzling display of opulence and rebellion, Philipp Plein presented his ‘NOIR SUMMER DREAM’ Resort 2025 collection at the Carlton Beach Club in Cannes on Wednesday evening during the Cannes Film Festival. While the weather had forced the designer to switch venues from the traditional location at his villa La Jungle Du Roi to the Carlton Beach Club, it was just as fitting.

Embracing the spirit of the French Riviera, the Carlton Beach Club was adorned with red flowers and guests were treated to free flowing champagne and live music all night. Among the notable attendants were Paul Pogba, Cuba Gooding Jr and Alec Monopoly. Plenty of spectators on the Croisette flocked to the entrance, trying to get a glimpse on the designs that Plein was showing.

Crystals shimmer across select pieces, adding a layer of luxe that channels the brand’s signature boldness with a softer, more polished edge. Leather ensembles detailed with embellishments and crystal-dusted mini dresses bring a sense of balance to the line—flirtatious yet poised. Flowing evening gowns dominate the offering, featuring clean, sculptural lines and halter necks that radiate confidence and sensuality. The Cruise collection is a testament to PHILIPP PLEIN’s continued dedication to precision, luxury, and dramatic detail.
In a separate event on Friday night, Plein invited a select group of his VIP clients and press to his villa La Jungle Du Roi to a cocktail soiree celebrating his latest time piece collection. While in prior year, Plein had opted to transform his villa into an event venue (2024’s Racing Club or 2023’s Circus), the designer chose a much more intimate setting this year. On display were his personal cars and the flower arrangements transformed the evening into a proper Cannes garden party. Music was playing while guests could enjoy champagne and bespoke drinks. Plein and his girlfriend Andrea Sasu were talking to guests all night long and we learnt a lot about Plein’s passion for his watch collection.

On Saturday evening during the Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix weekend, Philipp Plein celebrated the grand opening of his latest boutique in Monte Carlo, Monaco. Plein shared the milestone on Instagram, stating, “WE NEVER STOP GROWING OUR NEW PHILIPP PLEIN STORE IN MONACO opened today.”
The opening event featured appearances by notable personalities, including artist Alec Monopoly, who joined Plein in celebrating the new store, and also gave a guest appearance as the DJ. Guests were treated to Monopoly’s music set and danced all night. Attendants also got to see Monopoly live in action. The artists hand-painted one of Plein’s Rolls-Royce cars outside the store with his signature graffiti art.

The new Monaco boutique adds to Philipp Plein’s expanding global presence, offering a curated selection of the brand’s latest collections. This opening marks a significant addition to Plein’s retail portfolio, reinforcing the brand’s influence in the luxury fashion industry.
