What To Wear Where ~ Florence

Our Style Editor, Rajvi Takes Us To Florence

In my latest travel escapade, I ventured onto Florence. With all my conviction, I can tell you that Florence is not a place, it is a feeling. It was everything I imagined: charming, cozy, beautiful, inspiring; you will eat the most amazing Italian food and drink all the Italian wine your heart desires.

My style in Florence focuses solely on lace staples, sexy cuts, flowy silhouettes and even transparent fabrics. The feel that I was going for is Romantic & Carefree, bringing soft and flowing silhouettes, lace, laidback separates and small details that charm instantly.

No one door or window looked like the other. They were big, small, wide, narrow, plain, wooden, engraved, coloured—and they created the perfect backdrops for my style escapades. And as I wandered around the city and made each door and window my canvas I realized how enchanting this city was.

It ignited a boho-wanderlusting energy within me and allowed me to create a look that would perfectly marry with Florence’s romance. The architecture that surrounded these doors and windows was medieval and gothic, lending a distinct but edgy look to this entire shoot. Not only was I inspired and falling in love one step at a time, but I can say with conviction that Florence is not a place, it is a feeling.

In addition to arts, architecture and cuisine, Florence is also internationally renowned for its quality hand craftsmanship in leather goods and jewelry. And that’s where the brogues come in the picture. I bought the Italian leather brogues from a super cute store called Cinderella in San Gimignano : How dreamy does that sound!

Traveling in style is important and a dreamy Gypsy Bohemian look is all that it took. The Styles are generally casual but of late we see more dressy versions as well.

The shoes, earrings were as light as a feather and something so stylish and still so comfortable. Well that’s what every traveller would wish for!
