Sephora Unveils New Champs-Élysées Flagship Store

written by Global Glam December 12, 2023

After several months of renovation and ahead of the upcoming Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games – for which Sephora is official partner of the Olympic Torch Relay – the iconic Sephora Paris flagship store at 70-72 Avenue des Champs-Élysées has reopened, bringing customers an entirely reinvented shopping experience. This is the first complete renovation that the store has undergone since its opening in 1996.

Featuring signature elements of Parisian architecture such as stone paving and 19th-century inspired metal elements, the store creates a unique environment. Echoing the iconic address, a 2.6-meter-wide central aisle has a monumental beauty hub at its center, creating a veritable Arc de Triomphe of beauty.

The new design brings together iconic Sephora details such as the black and white striped motif throughout the store, the emblematic brand flame and the famous rainbow colors in an infinity mirror.

“Innovation is at the heart of Sephora’s DNA. Since we started 50 years ago, we’ve continued to reinvent the high-end beauty shopping experience. Our stores are the beating heart of Sephora. We’re thrilled to celebrate the reopening of this iconic location, where we’ll be able to offer our customers and brand partners a unique experience and write a new chapter in our story,” says Guillaume Motte, CEO and President of Sephora.

Different thematic spaces – fragrance, skincare, makeup, haircare, services and more – bring together the very best luxury beauty brands, from timeless icons to trendy new labels, showcasing Sephora’s curation expertise. To celebrate the iconic flagship’s reopening, new exclusive brands will be available only at the store, including Maison Francis Kurkdjian.

This renovation is part of Sephora’s sustainable development strategy, which aims to reduce the store’s energy consumption by 50%. Latest-generation LED technology has been integrated throughout the store, the number of screens has been reduced, and a large transparent and illuminated sliding door at the entrance reduces heat loss.
